Gaza students participating in the YES program with US Special Representative Jason Greenblatt and Palestine‘s head of delegation to Washington Husam Zomlot at the White House reception following their arrival in the US.

WASHINGTON, August 18, 2017 (WAFA) – US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt Thursday hosted a welcome reception for a group of Palestinian students arriving from Gaza to participate in the YES program.

In attendance was the Head of the PLO Delegation to the US Ambassador Husam Zomlot, representatives from the US Departments of State and Education in addition to representatives of the US agencies sponsoring the student exchange program.

Zomlot conveyed President Mahmoud Abbas‘ greeting and wishes for success to the students and his thanks to President Trump and his Special Advisor Greenblatt for their support of Palestinian people, particularly in the field of education. 

The Students were very grateful to Greenblatt who helped facilitate their departure from Gaza to Jordan and then the USA.
