JERUSALEM, August 18, 2017 (WAFA) - Israeli authorities Friday banned the Haifa journalist Sabreen Diab from entering the Old City of Jerusalem for the period of two weeks.
Diab told WAFA Israeli authorities released her on Thursday evening after almost seven hours of interrogation on condition she does not enter the Old City of Jerusalem for two weeks and after posting cash bail.
Diab was detained on Thursday at Bab al-Amoud (Damascus Gate) outside al-Aqsa mosque in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem. Deyab said she was verbally assaulted by the Israeli interrogator, who she said threatened to charge her of posing a security threat to the state of Israel.
The journalist said the interrogator mainly questioned her about her writings with the Lebanese Newspaper of al-Binaa.
