RAMALLAH, August 13, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday detained the mother and brother of Omar al-Abed, the Palestinian youth who was responsible for the July deadly attack in the illegal Israeli settlement of Halamish located in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers detained the mother, Ibtisam, who was released from detention only few weeks earlier after posting $3000 bail, and Khaled, the brother, after raiding their home in the village of Kobar, northwest of the city of Ramallah.
Al-Abed’s father was also detained a few days ago.
Israeli forces have been sealing off the village of Kobar and blocking its main entrance in a collective punitive measure after Omar al-Abed, a 19-year-old village resident, stabbed and killed three Israeli settlers and seriously injured a fourth after breaking into the illegal settlement of Halamish, west of Ramallah on July 21.
