JERUSALEM, August 3, 2017 (WAFA) – Israel Thursday notified 23 Palestinian families of its intention to demolish their homes located in the Bedouin neighborhood of al-Fheidat to the east of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The families were given 72 hours to appeal the demolition orders.
The Israeli authorities justified the demolition orders by citing unauthorized construction as a pretext even though the families have been living there for 50 years. The homes targeted with demolition are located near the Israeli army camp known as Anatot.
Israeli forces often target residents in that area in an aim to force them to the leave it as a prelude to seize the land.
