Israeli forces detain 12 Palestinians in Jerusalem, West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 6, 2017 (WAFA) – Twelve Palestinians were detained on Tuesday in military raids across the Jerusalem area, and three West Bank districts, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Israeli forces detained five Palestinians in the Jerusalem area, including a 19-year-old.

Two other Palestinians were detained in Bethlehem, in the south of the West Bank, in addition to 19-year-old youth in Salfit, in the northern West Bank.

Earlier Tuesday, the Israeli army detained four people, including a minor and his two siblings, who are also former prisoners, after forces raided and searched their family home in Hebron’s Beit Ummar town.

Israeli soldiers raided and the searched the home of ‘Eisa Salibi for almost two hours under the pretext of looking for explosives, before detaining the four.

A robot was sent into the house  to search for the alleged explosives and parts of the floor tiles were destroyed.
