RAMALLAH, May 30, 2017 (WAFA) – Hanna Amira, member of Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) Executive Committee, said Tuesday that the US administration of President Donald Trump intends to solve the core issues of a permanent status solution.

He told Voice of Palestine that it is, however, still too early to go into the details of this move since there is no initiative developed yet that one can talk about in this regard.

Amira warned that attempts by the US Congress to celebrate the so-called Jerusalem Day marking 50 years for the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem is part of pressure by the Congress on the US administration to relocate the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

He believed, however, that Trump would not take this step before getting a full picture of a solution for a settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
