JERUSALEM, May 21, 2017 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians suffocated during violent overnight clashes that was witnessed between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the Silwan area of East Jerusalem, said local sources.
Violent clashes which lasted until late last night took place between Israeli forces and Palestinians in ‘Ein al-Lozeh neighborhood, in silwan.
Forces indiscriminately and heavily fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward the neighborhood residents, causing dozens of severe suffocation cases among them.
Residents reportedly responded by throwing empty glass bottles, rocks, and firecrackers at the forces.
Meanwhile, clashes were also witnessed across a number of neighborhoods and towns in the Jerusalem area, however, no injuries were reported.
