JERUSALEM, May 20, 2017 (WAFA) – A 14-year-old Palestinian girl was Saturday detained by Israeli forces at Qalandia military checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, for allegedly wielding a knife, according to Israeli police.
Police claimed the girl, who was not immediately identified but only said to be a West Bank resident, entered the vehicle lane at the checkpoint purportedly wielding a knife.
She was overpowered and taken to an interrogation center in Jerusalem, said the police. No one was hurt.
