ROME, February 2, 2017 (WAFA) – Italy expressed concern on Thursday over Israel’s approval of 3000 additional housing units in illegal settlements in the West Bank.
A statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry said that “consistent with the Italian consolidated position, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that the further expansion of settlements is an obstacle to the perspective of the two-state solution,”
It called on the Palestinians and Israel “to show their commitment” to the two-state solution.
