RAMALLAH, June 26, 2025 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called Thursday for the urgent establishment of effective international mechanisms to immediately halt the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry warned that the Israeli government continues to systematically use starvation, thirst, and denial of medicine and treatment as tools of war.
It also warned of the escalating destruction by Israeli forces of what remains of homes and infrastructure in Gaza, coupled with ongoing daily killings targeting more than two million Palestinians who lack any form of safe shelter.
The statement highlighted that these attacks have confined civilians to an area comprising less than 18% of the Gaza Strip, significantly deepening their humanitarian suffering and driving them toward various forms of forced displacement.
The Ministry reiterated that the international community’s failure to stop this genocidal war is unjustifiable, stressing that the swift enforcement of international law is the only viable path to ending Palestinian suffering, realizing a Palestinian state, and achieving regional stability.
