HEBRON, June 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian citizens were injured today in the town of Beit Ummar, located north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, as Israeli occupation forces raided the town and engaged in confrontations with residents.
According to local media activist Muhammad Awad, Israeli military vehicles stormed Beit Ummar and deployed troops in the town center as well as in several surrounding neighborhoods. During the raid, soldiers fired live and rubber-coated steel bullets, as well as stun grenades and tear gas canisters at civilians. The heavy use of tear gas led to multiple cases of suffocation among residents, who were treated on-site by paramedics.
Additionally, Israeli forces intentionally threw a stun grenade inside a local restaurant, causing significant material damage to the establishment.
In a related development, Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint at the al-Sahib junction in the southern part of Hebron city, where they stopped Palestinian vehicles, conducted searches, and further impeded the movement of local residents.
