RAMALLAH, December 14, 2016 (WAFA) – Hours after an Israeli military court had ordered the release of 13-yaer-old Samir Daraghme, the same court ordered to keep him in prison until Thursday following an appeal by the military prosecutor against his release pending further investigation, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Wednesday.
PPS attorney Munther Abu Ahmad said the military prosecutor claimed Daraghme, who was detained on Monday while going to school in Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, north of Ramallah, was involved in throwing stones at Israeli vehicles and therefore he poses a “threat to public security.”
Daraghme has many health problems after a road accident a year earlier that left him with head wounds as well as loss of parts of his kidney and liver.
