Prisoner’s Society: Israeli courts fine minors more than $15,000 in November

RAMALLAH, December 12, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli courts fined Palestinian minors more than $15,000 in November for activity against the occupation forces, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Monday.

PPS attorney Loay Mansi, who represents minors held at Ofer military camp near Ramallah, said the courts sentenced 30 minors to various prison terms ranging between one month and 20 months and fined them as well.

He said 41 minors were brought to Ofer, including five beaten during arrest and three were shot and injured.

The PPS said there are 140 minors held in Ofer alone out of 200 minors held in various Israeli detentions.
