Israeli closes entrances of villages north of Ramallah for third day in a row

RAMALLAH, November 27, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday continued to close the main entrances of several towns and villages to the north of Ramallah for the third consecutive day, in the aftermath of the fire that broke out in the nearby Israeli settlement of Halamish, according to WAFA correspondent.

Israeli forces closed the main entrances of various villages and towns to the north of Ramallah after fire broke out in the nearby Israeli settlement of Halamish, built illegally on Palestinian-owned land, on Friday.

WAFA correspondent noted that forces continue to close the entrances even though  the fire was quelled by firefighters on Saturday evening.

Palestinians were forces to take lengthy detours in order to reach services and livelihoods.

To be noted, Israeli authorities stated that the fire destroyed at least 45 settlement units in Halamish.
