RAMALLAH, November 26, 2016 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Civil Defense said Saturday that its crews were able to put off fire in 112 locations across the West Bank since Friday.
It said in a statement that fire gutted 770 trees, including 180 olive trees, in Beit Sourik, northwest of Jerusalem, Kurf Nimeh, Budrus and Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, Jifna, north of Ramallah, Arrabeh, south of Jenin, Baqa al-Sharqiyeh, north of Tulkarm, as well as several villages around Nablus, Qalqilya and Salfit.
It said the civil defense was able to contain all the fires apparently agitated by windy and dry weather conditions.
