RAMALLAH, November 24, 2016 (WAFA) - Tayyib Abdul Rahim, secretary-general of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas‘ office, said Thursday the Palestinians are ready to cooperate with US President-elect Donald Trump to achieve a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine.
Abdul Rahim said during a celebration of the Japanese Emperor’s birthday in Ramallah that Palestinians have always responded well to all peace initiatives to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region.
He said the Palestinian Authority hopes negotiations would not become a way to only manage the conflict.
Abdul Rahim also commended Japan on its efforts in the peace process and said the Palestinians look forward to advancing its role, which will leave a positive impact on the region.
