RAMALLAH, November 23, 2016 (WAFA) – The District Court in Jerusalem Wednesday sentenced a Palestinian minor to 13 and half years in prison and 30,000 shekels (app. $7800) in fine, according to Mufeed al-Haj, an attorney with the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
Nurhan Awwad, 16, was arrested on November 23, 2015 after being shot along with her cousin Hadeel Awwad, 14, for allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack in Jerusalem.
While Nurhan suffered injuries, Hadeel was killed on the spot.
