RAMALLAH, October 6, 2016 (WAFA) – The Palestinian government condemned on Thursday the Israeli air strikes against the Gaza Strip.
In a press release, government’s spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud called on the international community to intervene to prevent further escalation of the situation and to compel Israel to lift its 10-year-long blockade of the coastal enclave.
The government also condemned Israel’s interception of the Zaytouna-Oliva flotilla and the arrest of the 30 international activists who were on board, saying such acts are typical of Israel’s insistence on escalation and tension.
