Israeli Forces Detain Five Palestinians from Hebron, Bethlehem

HEBRON, April 6, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday overnight detained five Palestinians and summoned two others from the southern West Bank districts of Hebron and Bethlehem, said security sources and a local activist.

Forces detained four Palestinians after breaking into and ransacking their family houses during separate predawn raids into the Hebron towns of Surif, Dura, Beit Ummar and Bani Na‘im.

The detainees were identified as Anas Ghneimat, 30, from Surif, Ali al-Hroub, 24, from Dura, Salim Wahadin from Beit Ummar and Aziz Lahjuj from Ban Na‘im.

To the north of Hebron, in Bethlehem district, forces detained a 17-year-old Palestinian and summoned two of his cousins during a predawn into al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem city.

Coordinator of the local Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee Ahmad Salah identified the detainee as Mahmoud Issa.

Forces handed Zein Issa and Qasem Issa notices ordering them to appear before intelligence in the Gush Etzion detention and interrogation center.
