Israel Detains 12 Palestinians in West Bank

RAMALLAH, April 4, 2016 (WAFA) – At least 12 Palestinians, including a university instructor, were on Monday detained by Israeli authorities during predawn raids across the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS).

PPS said Israeli forces broke into Nablus city, in northern West Bank, where they detained three Palestinians, including Mustafa el-Shennar, a lecturer at Najah National University. His son, Muntaser, 25, was also detained during the Israeli incursion. The third, Wesam Dawabsheh, was detained by the Israeli army in nearby Duma village.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops raided the village of Taqu and Aida refugee camp,  both in Bethlehem district, where they detained Mohammad Abu Srour, 16, Lo’ai Omour, 17, and Malek Abu Mfarreh, 17.

Army also detained Muneer at-Tal, 35, and Idrees al-Jamal, 46, in Hebron; Abed er-Rahmad Hammad in the village of Silwad near Ramallah; Hassan Taha, 34, in Qalqilia; and Ahmed Jolani, 19, in Jerusalem.
