RAMALLAH, April 4, 2015 (WAFA) – The overall quantity of Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine increased in February 2016 by 6.60% compared to the previous month, reaching 103.20, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics Monday.
It reported that the increase was due to a rise in the activity of manufacturing industry, which had a share of 83.19% from the total industry, by 9.20%.
It was also due to the increase in mining and quarrying, which had a share of 4.06%, by 17.07%, and in water supply, sewage, waste management and remediation activities, which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry, by 7.34%.
Meanwhile, the activity of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased by 14.38% and had a share of 11.98% of the total industry.
