Israeli Forces Detain 13 Palestinians, Assault One during West Bank Raids

HEBRON, March 29, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained Tuesday 13 Palestinians, including a journalist, and assaulted another during several West Bank raids, said security sources.

Twelve Palestinians were detained from Hebron district and another from Nablus district.

Israeli forces raided Hebron city, where they detained six Palestinians, including a journalist, after breaking into and ransacking their houses.

The detainees were identified as Raed al-Sharabati, 45, Mus‘ab Qafisha, 22, who works as a journalist, Sa‘id Abu Sneinah, Mahmoud Seder, Mahmoud Eweiwi and his brother, Ahmad.

In Dir Samit town, southwest of Hebron city, forces detained Riyad al-Hroub after storming and ransacking his house.

Three other Palestinians identified as Muhammad Abu Zneid, 32, Ahmad al-Najjar and Samir Bhais were detained during a predawn raid into Yatta town, south of Hebron city.

Another Palestinian was detained during a predawn raid into Abu al-‘Asja village, south of Hebron city. He was identified as Riyad Nammura.

A Palestinian was detained while he was attempting to cross “al-Container” military checkpoint, east of Jerusalem. He was identified as Abdul-Rahman al-Titi from the Hebron refugee camp of al-Fawwar.

Meanwhile in Nablus district, forces detained Adam Dawabsheh, 28, after breaking into and searching his family house in Duma town, south of Nablus city.

In Bethlehem district, forces launched an overnight house-to-house raid operation, interrogating the owners in Tuqu‘ town, east of Bethlehem city.

Some of the homeowners were identified as Salem al-Badan, Ibrahim  al-‘Amour, together with his three brothers, Muhammad, Naser and Khaled, Ahmad al-‘Amour, and his brother, Munir, as well as ‘Adel al-‘Amour.

Forces also stormed the family house of Hussein Abu Ajamiyya to detain his 14-year-old son, Ramzi, in Duheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem city.

During a raid into al-Khader town, south of the city, forces physically assaulted Dawood Salah, 22, inflicting bruises across his body.
