Israeli Army Undercover Units Detain Palestinian Minors in East Jerusalem Neighborhood

JERUSALEM, July 30, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli undercover forces Wednesday night detained an unidentified number of Palestinian minors from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-‘Issawiya, said WAFA correspondent.

Israeli forces disguised as Arabs detained and brutally assaulted a number of minors; three of whom were identified. They minors are Amir Mahmoud, Muhammad al-Kiswani and Majd Nasser.

Violent clashes erupted between young Palestinians from Jerusalem and Israeli forces in the neighborhood, where forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets, live ammunition and stun grenades at the youth.

Several young Palestinians were hit with rubber-coated steel bullets during the clashes and some were transferred to the nearest hospital for immediate medical care.

Separately, Israeli police physically assaulted and detained a Palestinian young man while he was attempting to cross the military checkpoint of al-Z‘aayyim to the east of the city purportedly for assaulting Israeli soldiers.

The detainee was identified as Bahaa’ Abu al-Hawa, 19, a Palestinian from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal Az-Zeitoun.
