WEST BANK, July 27, 2015 (WAFA)
– At least seven Palestinians were arrested Sunday’s night by the Israeli army
in multiple West Bank districts, according to local and security sources.
In Hebron, the army arrested
three Palestinians the city. They were identified as Bahaa Abu Shekhedem, 22,
Rami Ewewi, 30, and Yousef Junedi, 35. Forces also stormed the nearby town of
Surif, where they arrested Omar Ghunaimat, 55.
In the meantime, Israeli army
broke into the village of Tura, to the west of Jenin, and arrested a
Palestinian, identified as Fadi Qabaha, after raiding his house. Army also
arrested Emran Qabaha from Tura at the nearby Salem military checkpoint.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military
forced the closure of a number of commercial stores in the Jerusalem town of
Hazma, witnesses said. The military cited stone throwing by local youth at
Israeli military vehicles as the pretext behind the closure.
Earlier Sunday, Israeli
soldiers arrested 16-year-old Hamza Abu Hashem from the town of Beit Ummar,
north of Hebron, after physically assaulting him at the entrance of the town.
Also on Sunday, an unidentified
Palestinian youngster was injured by Israeli gunfire at an Israeli checkpoint
east of Hebron. Israeli sources claimed he attempted to attack a soldier with a
knife before the other soldiers opened fire at him, causing him moderate
injuries. He was transferred to an Israeli hospital.
