CAIRO, November 8, 2026 (WAFA) – The Arab Republic of Egypt on Sunday condemned the incursion of dozens of colonists into the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Egypt denounced the repetition and escalation of these violations and provocative practices, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law, an infringement on the sanctity of religious shrines, and a threat to security and stability in the region.

In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its categorical rejection of all attempts aimed at imposing a temporal or spatial division on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque or altering its existing historical and legal status.

The ministry called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and halt these recurring violations and prevent further escalation and tension in the region.
