RAMALLAH, August 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Palestinian presidency on Wednesday denied Israeli media reports claiming that Palestinian officials were working to bring down the current Israeli government.

The Presidency affirmed the principled position of non-interference in the internal affairs of any party, including Israel, noting that the Palestinian side has always dealt with any elected government, which is the same principle the Presidency has asked all parties to adhere to in their dealings with the Palestinian side.

It reiterated that the Palestinian people’s longstanding and consistent demand of Israel is to end its occupation of Palestinian Territory and achieve peace based on international law and the UN resolutions.
