JENIN, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation authorities on Thursday issued a series of new military orders targeting land in several towns across the Jenin governorate, including orders to uproot trees and vegetation from hundreds of dunums of land.

According to the orders, Israeli forces issued six military directives to remove trees and vegetation from a total of 310.868 dunums of land, distributed as follows: 51.26 dunums at the main entrance to Ya'bad, 66.698 dunums along the Arraba–Ya'bad road, 32.21 dunums at the main entrance to Arraba, 52.44 dunums along the Jenin–Nablus road, 71.81 dunums along the Jenin–Nablus road opposite Fahma refugee camp, and 36.45 dunums in the towns of Anza and Ajja.

In a related measure, Israeli authorities also issued a military order to seize 3.536 dunums of land in the al-Hafira area of the village of Merka.

The measures come amid escalating Israeli measures targeting land across the occupied West Bank through the removal of trees and vegetation and the seizure of land, threatening agricultural areas and causing direct harm to farmers and their property.
