JERUSALEM, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday attacked mourners attending a funeral procession near Bab al-Asbat (Lion’s Gate) in occupied East Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said Israeli police assaulted mourners of the late Hussein Issa during his funeral at Bab al-Asbat, firing tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets toward them.
