RAMALLAH, March 29, 2026 (WAFA) – The President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, condemned the ongoing deadly escalation by the far-right Israeli government and its military forces in the occupied Palestinian territories. He said the escalation reflects an aggressive policy aimed at deliberate killing, targeting civilians, and destroying property in Palestinian areas.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Fattouh said the silence and inaction of the international community encourage Israel to continue committing crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, calling for urgent action to hold those responsible accountable and to implement effective legal deterrents.

He affirmed that the continued brutality and organized terrorism will not break the will of the Palestinian people but will strengthen their determination to uphold their legitimate national rights. 

Fattouh urged the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to stop these crimes and hold perpetrators accountable.
