GAZA, September 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll has risen to 73,919 and the number of injured to 174,977 since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

The sources added that, over the past 24 hours, the bodies of five slain people (four newly killed and one who succumbed to previous injuries) and 25 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The total number of fatalities since the ceasefire on October 11 stands at 1,399, with 4,863 injuries recorded; additionally, 834 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.

Medical sources noted that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams are unable to reach them.
