11 families forcibly displaced from Khirbet Yerza east of Tubas due to settler attacks

TUBAS, March 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Eleven Palestinian families from Khirbet Yerza, a Bedouin community east of Tubas in  the northern West Bank, dismantled their homes and tents and began leaving the area on Sunday following escalating attacks by Israeli settlers.

Moataz Bisharat, a local Palestinian official, said the families were forced to evacuate after the attacks reached dangerous levels.

The past period has seen the displacement of many families from herding communities around Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley due to ongoing settler assaults.

These attacks, which continue around the clock, include targeting homes, assaulting residents, intimidating them, chasing herders in grazing areas, and stealing or killing livestock.
