RAMALLAH, December 19, 2025 (WAFA) — The State of Palestine on Friday expressed deep regret over the imposition of sanctions on two additional judges of the International Criminal Court, warning that the move constitutes a serious infringement on the independence of the international judiciary and undermines the international justice system.
In a statement, the State of Palestine said that such measures risk pushing the global system toward chaos and the absence of the rule of law, while undermining international efforts to uphold accountability and justice.
In this context, Palestine called on the United States administration to pressure the Israeli occupation government to halt its ongoing crimes and violations against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. These violations include colonial settlement expansion, colonist violence, and the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues.
The statement affirmed that these policies represent a blatant violation of international law, undermine the institutions of the Palestinian National Authority, destroy the two-State solution, and obstruct peace efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump in cooperation with Arab and Islamic countries and the broader international community.
Palestine also stressed the urgent need to implement President Trump’s plan and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 by consolidating the ceasefire, ensuring the immediate and sustained flow of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and shelter materials, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions. It further called for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces and enabling the Palestinian government, along with its national police and security services, to fully assume their responsibilities.
The statement emphasized the importance of accelerating reconstruction efforts and moving decisively toward the implementation of the two-State solution through ending the Israeli occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to achieve their freedom and independence in a sovereign and independent state.
The State of Palestine reaffirmed its readiness to work toward a just and comprehensive peace based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
