JOHANNESBURG, November 23, 2025 (WAFA) – French President Emmanuel Macron said the situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely difficult, stressing the need to preserve the continuity and durability of the ceasefire agreement and uphold its commitments.
Macron made the remarks late last night on the sidelines of the G20 Summit being held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He reiterated that conditions in Gaza remain “extremely difficult.”
Macron also noted that France and Saudi Arabia serve as guarantors of the agenda set out in the New York Declaration, which outlines a path toward a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.
