TULKARM, November 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians were injured by live fire and tear gas today as Israeli forces suppressed a mass protest held on lands between the towns of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarm, and Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilia.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets, as well as toxic tear gas canisters, at participants after they performed Friday prayers on lands threatened with confiscation. Farmers were also chased, and several youths were beaten. Field treatment was provided to the injured by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The Red Crescent confirmed that 15 people were injured during the confrontations in Beit Lid, including one by live fire, two by beatings, and 12 from tear gas inhalation.
The protest was organized by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, in coordination with the municipalities of Kafr Qaddum and Beit Lid, the Fatah movement, and popular resistance committees, in rejection of settlers' attempts to establish a new outpost on lands there.
The event was attended by Muayyad Shabaan, head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, representatives of official and civil institutions, residents of both towns, and international and local solidarity activists.
