BEIJING, October 23, 2025 (WAFA) – China called on the international community today to take the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as a guiding framework to effectively alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

In a statement released by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Beijing emphasized the urgent need for the international community to make concerted efforts to reach a comprehensive, just, and lasting settlement of the Palestinian issue as soon as possible.

The statement explained that the ICJ advisory opinion clearly states that the Israeli occupation is obligated to cooperate with the United Nations and its agencies to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the occupied Palestinian territories.

China reaffirmed its firm and clear stance on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing its commitment to justice and strong support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Yesterday, the ICJ affirmed that the Israeli occupation is required to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip, including aid provided by UN agencies.
