BUCHAREST, October 6, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian community in Romania participated in a march held on Monday, at the invitation of the Romania-Palestine Solidarity Association, in support of Palestinian people in Palestine and to demand an end to the massacres in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian community and Romanian supporters of Palestinian rights affirmed that the voice of justice must not be silenced, and that solidarity with the Palestinian people will continue until they achieve their full legitimate rights.
The march was marked by the broad participation of Romanian youth, especially university students, who expressed their support for the Palestinian people in the face of injustice and aggression. They emphasized that the message of freedom never stops, but rather continues with the peoples' pulse and their belief in the human right to life and dignity.
The participants raised Palestinian flags, pictures of slain Palestinians, and banners bearing slogans of freedom and justice, in a scene that embodied the unity of the peoples and the convergence of their voices in support of Palestinian rights.
The demonstrators also called for support for the people of Gaza, who have made tremendous sacrifices, risking their lives in defense of freedom and justice, and for standing by them in the face of their profound human suffering. They emphasized that supporting Gaza at this stage is an irrevocable moral and humanitarian duty.
They affirmed their continued support for the Palestinian people and their steadfastness in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and their protection from the systematic violations committed by the occupying forces against the land and people. They called on the international community to shoulder its moral and humanitarian responsibilities regarding what happened in Gaza, considering the decision to stop the war came too late, after thousands of innocent lives had already been lost.
The Palestinian community in Romania stated that what is happening in Romania is a natural extension of a broader movement encompassing various European countries, where the voices of the people are united in demanding justice and an end to the suffering of the Palestinians.
She stressed that the continuation of these movements in European capitals reflects a genuine collective will to reject the occupation and support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and that Romania has been and will remain an active part of this ongoing humanitarian pulse on the continent.
