JERUSALEM, September 9, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday continued to ban around 30 Palestinians from accessing their homes in Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem, for the second consecutive week.

Mohammad al-Kiswani said that the occupation forces continued to prevent him and other villagers from returning to their homes in the village, despite there being no clear justification for the ban.

Al-Kiswani explained that the occupation forces refuse to issue the permits required to enter the village, forcing those barred from returning to remain outside it.

He added that the measures are part of the ongoing restrictions imposed on villagers of Beit Iksa, which is subject to stringent restrictions on movement in and out, further exacerbating their suffering and disrupting their daily lives.

Beit Iksa is separated from its surroundings by an Israeli military checkpoint and has for years been subject to strict restrictions on the movement of its residents. Entry into the village requires special permits and magnetic cards issued by the occupation authorities, while some residents have been denied entry on the grounds of what the authorities refer to as a “security ban.” In recent days, residents have also reported prolonged checkpoint closures and the denial of entry to Palestinians seeking to return to their homes.
