ANKARA, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey Faed Mustafa announced that President Mahmoud Abbas will begin a three-day official visit to Turkey on Wednesday afternoon.
During the visit, he will meet with his Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Turkish leadership.
This visit is part of the regular political consultations between the two presidents and the two friendly countries, given the historical ties and relations they share.
Mustafa stated that this visit is of great importance at this critical stage in the course of "our national cause," in light of this "brutal Israeli aggression against our people and our people in the Gaza Strip, and the escalating pace of Israeli attacks on our people and our people in the West Bank."
"These developments will be on the agenda of discussion between the two presidents and the leadership of the two countries, in addition to consultations on various regional and international developments that have repercussions for our national cause," he added.
He also praised Palestinian-Turkish bilateral relations, which are witnessing positive developments and significant progress in various fields. He noted that ways to strengthen and develop them in all areas will also be on the President's agenda during his meetings with Turkish officials.
The delegation accompanying him on this visit includes: Chief Justice of Palestine, Advisor to the President for Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash; Advisor to the President Mustafa Abu Al-Rab; Advisor to the President for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi; and Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Turkey Faed Mustafa.
