BERLIN, September 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Thousands of people rallied in central Berlin on Saturday to protest the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, demanding an immediate end to the military offensive and German arms deliveries to Israel.
Gathering in front of the iconic Brandenburg Gate, protesters waved Palestinian flags and held signs condemning Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. The demonstration, titled “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” drew powerful speeches denouncing Israel’s military assault on the Palestinian enclave.
In a video message played at the rally, former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters expressed solidarity with Palestinians and called for international action.
“We are all here today to support our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The vast, vast majority of ordinary people all over the globe are demanding an end to the unspeakable crime that Israel is committing. Not just in Gaza but in the rest of occupied Palestine,” Waters said.
Berlin police reported an estimated turnout of around 12,000 participants, while organizers, including the far-left BSW party, said as many as 20,000 attended—making it one of the largest pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Germany in recent months.
Protesters also called on the German government to halt all arms exports to Israel, criticizing Berlin’s continued support amid widespread civilian casualties and destruction in Gaza.
