COPENHAGEN, August 30, 2025 (WAFA) – The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, urged the United States to reconsider its decision to deny entry visas to Palestinian officials ahead of next month’s United Nations General Assembly meetings.
Speaking on Saturday after participating in an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Copenhagen, Kallas emphasized that Washington should review its decision in light of existing agreements between the United Nations and its host country, taking into account international law and the UN's founding principles.
She confirmed that EU member states are united in this position and collectively call for the U.S. to allow Palestinian officials to participate in the upcoming UN sessions.
