JERUSALEM, August 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Dozens of colonists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Local sources reported that dozens of colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and performed Talmudic rituals, danced, and chanted loudly.

Tens of thousands of colonists gathered at the Western Wall on Monday evening and performed Talmudic prayers at the invitation of the colonialist Western Wall Heritage Foundation, which announced the Selechot prayer throughout September.

The prayer is held in preparation for the Jewish New Year, which falls on the 23rd of the same month.

During the raid, a colonist blew the shofar, a ram's horn, to mark the beginning of the Jewish month.

Due to the large number of colonists, the foundation said it will set up 19 main platforms in front of the Western Wall for the prayer, and the intruders will be invited to join tours of the Old City.

The "Temple Groups" continue to target Al-Aqsa Mosque, exploiting religious occasions in an effort to Judaize it.

Meanwhile, calls for Jerusalemites continue as Al-Aqsa Mosque sees ongoing attacks and incursions by colonists and the occupation police, in an attempt to change the religious and historical reality there and impose Judaization policies.

Colonists also continue their daily incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Mughrabi Gate, except on Fridays and Saturdays. The number of intruders increases, and the sanctity of the mosque is violated more severely during Jewish holidays and occasions.
