Prime Minister Mustafa attends launch of International Chamber of Commerce in Palestine

RAMALLAH, August 12, 2026 (WAFA) — Under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, the establishment of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Palestine was officially launched during an event held in Ramallah on Wednesday.

 during an event organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, The event was organized by the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The Prime Minister said the establishment of the ICC in Palestine represents an important step toward strengthening the presence of the Palestinian national economy in global markets and opening new opportunities for Palestinian businesses to access international business networks.

He added that the initiative would help expand opportunities for trade, investment and exports, while enabling Palestinian businesses to benefit from international expertise, standards and practices.

Mustafa explained that the government is pursuing five parallel tracks: strengthening public financial management; mitigating the impact of the unbalanced economic relationship with Israel; reinforcing the rule of law and improving the business environment; implementing a portfolio of strategic development projects; and advancing a government roadmap for work in the Gaza Strip.

The event’s programme included a presentation on the International Chamber of Commerce and its global role, as well as the process of establishing its presence in Palestine. The event concluded with a networking and relationship-building session.
