Malaysia condemns Israel’s massacre of over 1,300 aid seekers in Gaza

KUALA LUMPUR, August 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Malaysia has strongly condemned the “brutal massacre” that claimed the lives of more than 1,300 Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza, calling the incident “unbelievable” and demanding an immediate international investigation.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the rising death toll in Gaza due to Israel’s ongoing aggression in the region since October 2023.

The ministry noted that over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed and around 150,000 injured, while nearly 1.9 million people have been forcibly displaced as a result of "the violent aggression of the Israeli Zionist regime."

The statement also condemned Israel’s continued blockade on Gaza, which has severely restricted the entry of humanitarian aid. Malaysia warned that the blockade is causing acute shortages of food, clean water, medical supplies, and fuel.

The ministry stressed that the situation raises serious fears of an impending famine, particularly as signs of hunger and malnutrition are already affecting thousands of civilians, especially children.

Malaysia also welcomed the outcomes of the recent international conference on Palestine, held at the United Nations from July 28 to 30, reaffirming its commitment to bolstering global support to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
