Two Palestinians killed, others injured in Israeli strikes on Khan Younis and Gaza City

GAZA, July 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded on Friday as Israeli occupation forces continued their air and artillery strikes across parts of the Gaza Strip, particularly targeting Khan Younis in the south and neighborhoods in Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that two civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Satar area, northwest of Khan Younis. At the same time, Israeli naval forces fired shells into the sea off the coast of Gaza City.

Several civilians were also wounded in Israeli artillery shelling that struck the Al-Saftawi neighborhood in northwest Gaza City. Additional injuries were reported in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of the city, where an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped bombs on a group of residents.

Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces carried out demolitions and detonations of civilian homes in multiple neighborhoods of Gaza City as part of their ongoing operations.

Meanwhile, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) reported that Israel’s expanded ground incursion west of Khan Younis has forced displaced residents into an even smaller area near the coast. The organization said its teams were forced to evacuate the Al-Attar clinic due to the Israeli invasion, while the incursion has also halted ambulance movement to Nasser Hospital, one of the area’s key medical facilities.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 57,680 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 137,409 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
