Israeli forces close entrances to villages and raid towns east of Qalqilya

QALQILYA, June 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday disrupted the movement of Palestinian residents in the eastern areas of Qalqilya, north of the occupied West Bank, by closing the main entrances to the villages of Kafr Laqif and Immatin with iron gates, local sources reported.

In a related development, Israeli forces raided the town of Azzun at dawn. Troops spread out across the neighborhoods of the town, where they stormed and searched several homes.

During the incursion, the military closed a road in the al-Safha neighborhood and the area, erecting a checkpoint that blocked all movement. Civilians in the area were briefly detained and subjected to searches before the forces withdrew after a three-hour offensive.

Earlier, shortly after midnight, Israeli forces also stormed the city of Qalqilya from the eastern entrance and deployed along Wadi Street and the marketplace, though no raids or detentions were reported.
