GENEVA, May 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Switzerland has called for the immediate lifting of the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid destined for the Gaza Strip, which has been in place for over two months.

In a statement published today by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs on X, the Swiss government expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes and the continued blockade.

"Switzerland is deeply alarmed by the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza and the reported risk of famine," the statement said, urging Israel to lift the blockade without delay.
