STOCKHOLM, May 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets of the Swedish capital, Stockholm, on Saturday evening to protest Israel’s plans to expand its ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The protest, held in the Odenplan area, denounced the genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in Gaza. Demonstrators carried banners reading, “Zionist Israel, get out of Palestine” and “No to genocide.”

Protesters marched toward the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chanting slogans in solidarity with Palestine and condemning U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies toward Gaza.

Swedish activist Karin Weld told reporters during the protest, “We are standing up for the victims of the genocide being carried out by Israel in Gaza.”
