RAMALLAH, March 6, 2025 (WAFA) – Hussein Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), met with German Foreign and Security Policy Advisor Jens Plötner at the former’s office in Ramallah on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by Germany’s Ambassador to Palestine, Oliver Owcza.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the latest developments in Palestine, including Israeli violations in the West Bank and regional and international efforts to solidify the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and initiate the reconstruction process.

Both parties strongly rejected any form of forcible displacement and emphasized the importance of maintaining the territorial unity of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, considering it essential for any sustainable political solution.

Plötner reaffirmed Germany’s support for the Palestinian people and for reinforcing the ceasefire agreement, stressing the need for a just and comprehensive political solution based on the two-state solution as the only path to ensuring security and stability in the region.
