RAMALLAH, February 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Hussein Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), has strongly condemned Israel's recent position targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty.

This stance, which advocates for the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, was described by Sheikh as a violation of international law and conventions.

In a statement posted on X, Sheikh emphasized that the State of Palestine will only be established on Palestinian land, reaffirming the Palestinians' commitment to their legitimate right to self-determination and independence on their land.

Sheikh also expressed appreciation for the continued support of Saudi Arabia, both from its leadership and people, for advocating the application of international law and the pursuit of a two-state solution.

He stressed that Saudi Arabia remains steadfast in its call for the realization of peace, security, and stability in the region, grounded in the principles of justice and international legitimacy.
