Israeli forces gun down two Palestinians in Jenin

JENIN, Saturday, August 31, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces gunned down two Palestinians in the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Health Ministry.

The Ministry said in a press statement that the General Authority of Civil Affairs announced that the occupation forces killed Amjad Mustafa Ibrahim Saleh and Mohammad Amin Talal Abdullah in the city.

The spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Ahmad Jibril, said earlier today that the occupation forces had prevented paramedics from evacuating the bodies of the two slain men from the camp.

This brings the tally of Palestinian fatalities killed by Israeli forces in the Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas governorates since the dawn of Wednesday, August 28, to 22.

This week, the Israeli occupation forces launched its largest offensive on the occupied West Bank since the Second Intifada, attacking three cities - Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas - from land and air and killing at least 17 Palestinians.

Military bulldozers ploughed into critical infrastructure, cutting off communications and resources from several Palestinian cities and refugee camps.

This is the latest move in a broader Israeli offensive, marked by almost daily arrests and killings, in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since the onset of the Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza on 7 October 2023, which resulted in the killing at least 40,691 Palestinians and injuring over 94,060 others.
